CHILDREN AGED BETWEEN 18 MONTHS-2 YEARS

The Penguins room is located on the ground floor of the main schoolhouse and will be able to accommodate 6 children. The aim of the Penguins room is to allow the children an area where they can move around freely and safely and in which they can start to discover the different activities such as art, craft, sand, and water which the older children already enjoy. At this stage in your child’s development we aim to introduce a very small amount of structure to their day which helps in preparing them as they take their first steps towards becoming toddlers. Penguins also have the advantage of being directly linked to the playroom for the 2-3 year olds (Cheeky Monkeys). This enables the Penguins to join in freely with appropriate activities and also join in at mealtimes. It also eliminates the often traumatic step of children moving from one room to another.
