TIDDLYWINKS PHILOSOPHY IS TO CREATE A WARM, HAPPY AND CARING NURSERY THAT PROVIDES A SAFE, SECURE AND STIMULATING ENVIRONMENT, WHICH WILL ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION OF THE CHILDREN WE CARE FOR.

INDIVIDUAL CARE
Throughout your child’s time at Tiddlywinks they will be allocated their own key worker who will have specific responsibility for the care and well being of your child. Your key worker will also be your day-to-day contact at the nursery and will give you a detailed report of your childs day. At Tiddlywinks we positively encourage parental involvement at any time and intend to hold regular “parents meetings”. Daybooks ensure that interesting and important information is communicated between nursery and home.

ROUTINE
At Tiddlywinks we work with families to ensure that the routines established at home are supported within the nursery, including toilet training. Our dedicated team of staff will also encourage opportunities and activities which will help develop children’s language and imagination, as well as focusing on manipulation skills and social skills such as feeding and dressing.

YOUR CHILDS PROGRESS
Throughout your child’s time with us he/she will receive a progress book which will act as a developmental bible. In this book your child’s key worker will record details of the key development stages and milestones which your child achieves as they progress. This will provide an indispensable record of their early years. In addition each child will have a day book into which both parents, carers and key workers can record day to day activities. The book is also intended to be used as a means of communication between the nursery and home so that any issues and action points can be recorded.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIY
At Tiddlywinks we are very fortunate to have a large outdoor play area. From an early age we will encourage the physical development of your child and encourage him/her to take an active interest in keeping healthy and the ways to achieve this. We aim to build your child’s physical confidence and co-ordination and develop an interest and awareness of the importance of physical exercise. We are planning to create a flower and vegetable garden so that children can appreciate all the things which the outdoors has to offer.
